What "Clinical Concentration" Actually Means
Every active ingredient has a threshold: the minimum concentration at which clinical studies demonstrate a measurable effect on human skin. Below that line, the ingredient is present but functionally inert. Above it, it works.
AUTEUR formulates every active at or above its published efficacy threshold. Retinol at concentrations where cell turnover accelerates. Peptides at levels where collagen synthesis is stimulated. Antioxidants dosed to neutralise free radicals, not just appear on an ingredient list.
This is more expensive. Effective concentrations of active compounds cost significantly more than trace amounts. It also means fewer ingredients per formula, because real concentrations occupy formulation space and interact with each other in ways that must be managed.
